How do you do?

Postby Stu Dover on Sun May 17, 2009 1:40 pm

Hello All,

Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Stuart Dover, I am 49, married and a father of two pre-teen children. I am fortunate enough to reside in North Devon and unfortunate enough to work away in London for long periods. I operate in a senior supervisory position providing Close Protection and security to those who feel they require it. I am a former serviceman, serving as Paratrooper for a number of years including seeing action in the Falklands War and latterly serving in Intelligence.
My political views are pretty much the same as my religious orientation. I have christian beliefs but would not necessarily refer to myself as a christian, I equally support ideas form other faiths if I feel they reflected my views.

Fundamentally, and especially in light of recent developments with the fiasco over MP's expenses, I believe that serving your country in Government should be similar to serving your country in the services. An MP should be driven by duty and the desire to serve the voters. MP's should be paid the 'average wage' and the only reward should be an acknowledgement post-service possibly in the form of an Honour. Desire to be in Government should be more of a theological calling rather than pig-calling for hogs to attend the trough. The gravy train is approaching its final destination and now is the time to 'all change'.

Welcome on board Stu it is good to have you join us. The more that get involved the more chance we have of sorting out the trough and the pigs. The Forum has been a bit short of the newer members having a go .As you can guess from my site name I have become extremely cynical with most if not all UK politicians, even more so with the EU lot ( bigger trough therefore bigger pigs ).

Welcome Stuart, I have already sent you a private e mail basically outlining our aims, I look forward to any contribution you can make to the site.
I believe we should really begin to get everyone together to put candidates forward at the impending General Election.
