Hello All,
Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Stuart Dover, I am 49, married and a father of two pre-teen children. I am fortunate enough to reside in North Devon and unfortunate enough to work away in London for long periods. I operate in a senior supervisory position providing Close Protection and security to those who feel they require it. I am a former serviceman, serving as Paratrooper for a number of years including seeing action in the Falklands War and latterly serving in Intelligence.
My political views are pretty much the same as my religious orientation. I have christian beliefs but would not necessarily refer to myself as a christian, I equally support ideas form other faiths if I feel they reflected my views.
Fundamentally, and especially in light of recent developments with the fiasco over MP's expenses, I believe that serving your country in Government should be similar to serving your country in the services. An MP should be driven by duty and the desire to serve the voters. MP's should be paid the 'average wage' and the only reward should be an acknowledgement post-service possibly in the form of an Honour. Desire to be in Government should be more of a theological calling rather than pig-calling for hogs to attend the trough. The gravy train is approaching its final destination and now is the time to 'all change'.
Stu Dover
