Some sense at last! A recent appeal against her sentence regarding false allegations of rape has been thrown out by two appeal judges ( one a female).
Good for them.
Anyone making false allegations should have to be made answerable for their actions.
If the case is found to be proven, then obviously a sentence is involved. It seems only fair and reasonable that if the charges are found to be malicious and false then surely the perpetrator of them should receive the same sentence as the party they have transgressed against?
Some will say that this would deter people from bringing actions/cases to the courts. So be it, a considerable number of people are dragged through the courts and all that it entails, only to be found innocent. The trouble is mud sticks, and many have their lives ruined due to such vindictive actions.
